Sharing the Joy: Ichiplas Celebrates Hari Raya 2025 with Festive Food, Fun, and Fellowship
Based in Johor Bahru, celebrating cultural milestones together is important to us. Our recent Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2025 celebration was a wonderfully-organised event, bringing all our office staff together for a memorable day.
A Culinary Celebration: A Feast Fit for Raya
The festivities kicked off bright and early, transforming our office space into a hub of delicious aromas and cheerful chatter. The heart of the morning was a magnificent buffet potluck, proving the incredible culinary talents of our people and their families. This was a spread crafted with care and unreplicable homemade skill, featuring authentic Malay cuisine that was better than any hotel buffet.
From succulent Ayam Percik (grilled chicken coated in a rich, spiced coconut sauce) and fragrant Lemang (sticky rice cooked with coconut milk inside bamboo over a fire) to refreshing Corn Juice and an array of tempting kuih-muih and desserts, the variety was astounding. It was a wonderful display of generosity and team effort, with colleagues proudly sharing their favourite traditional dishes.
Capturing Moments and Creating Smiles
While the delicious food was certainly a highlight, the celebration offered more than just culinary delights. Amidst the dining and conversation, a dedicated photobooth provided a fun backdrop for colleagues to capture lasting memories. Laughter echoed as teams and friends posed for pictures, documenting the festive spirit and the colourful Raya attire worn by many.
Anticipation and Appreciation: The Lucky Draw
Adding an element of excitement to the celebration was the much-anticipated lucky draw.
Everyone present had a chance to walk away with a prize. The rewards ranged from beautifully decorated goodie bags filled with treats to more substantial gifts like stylish handbags and generous hampers, especially for our dedicated senior staff. The thrill of the draw added a buzz to the atmosphere, celebrating everyone's contribution to the Ichiplas family. (We did note the feedback about needing a wider variety of prizes suitable for our male colleagues!)
A Sweet Finale: Celebrating April Birthdays
Rounding off the formal part of the celebration, we took the opportunity to honour our colleagues celebrating birthdays in April. The familiar tune of "Happy Birthday" filled the room as everyone joined in to sing for the April babies. A celebratory cake was brought out, and shared slices provided a sweet conclusion to the festivities.
